Student Award Nominations
Each Award is described below with a link to a Google Form where you can nominate deserving students. You may nominate
as many students as you wish for each award. There will be a maximum of 2 students per grade that may be selected to receive the award.
You must use your School Google Account to create the nomination.
Nominations are Due: March 14th by 3pm
Perseverance Award
Student has demonstrated a growth mindset, grit and resilience to face obstacles bravely and/or has overcome a personal challenge.
Grade Level: 9-12
Nomination: Can be nominated by staff member or another student

Change Agent Award
Student recognizes a problem in the community and implements substantial change through the following:
- Transformational leadership
- Activist for social change
- Makes an impact greater than his/herself

Community Service/Volunteerism
Student has made significant contributions to his/her community through his/her time, actions, talents, and dedication.
He/she has a passion for helping others in his/her community.
Grade Level: 9-12
Nomination/Criteria: Student completes self-nomination Must have completed
a minimum of 40 hrs. of community service/volunteer hours in the current school year.

From Browns Visit to Science Success: A Month of Learning & Achievement
November 21-24 in the SHS Auditorium.
The Solon Schools community is launching a philanthropic effort to aid areas still reeling from the impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Trading his suit and tie for a swimsuit and towel, Solon Schools Superintendent Fred Bolden braved the waters of the 2024 Comets for a Cure Dunk Tank, sponsored by Solon High School's SADD Club.
The Solon Schools are beaming with 5-Star excellence today! The district has once again demonstrated exceptional performance on the Ohio School Report Card, securing 5 stars across all measured components for 2024.
Tickets for the SHS Homecoming Dance on September 14 are on sale now.
All tickets can be purchased for $25 here on the SHS home page under Our School or Students above. Students will be guaranteed their first choice t-shirt size, available for pick-up during the lunch periods the week before Homecoming.
Ticket sales end Saturday, September 14, at 5 pm. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.STUDENTS MUST PAY THEIR PAST DUE FEES PRIOR TO HAVING THEIR NAME RELEASED TO PURCHASE TICKETS! So plan accordingly, if you wait until the last few days, your name will likely not be released.
Join us for the Welcome Back Tailgate community event August 23 from 5-7 p.m. The event will take place behind the home stands on the west side of the Solon High School stadium parking lot.
